Prospects of restoring banking system of Ukraine and prospects of cooperation with the EBRD were discussed.

The participants stressed that one of the most important aims of Ukrainian economy is restoring crediting.

EBRD representatives approved adoption of the law on strengthening responsibility of owners and management of banks.

In words of EBRD Managing Director for Eastern Europe and the Caucasus Francis Malijai, EBRD is interested in stabilizing banking system of Ukraine, as the Bank has invested in this sector of Ukrainian economy over EUR 1,2 billion.
